Grow - Social Action
Project Isaiah Fall Food Drive

Surprising though it may be in our area of comfort, there are hundreds of local residents who are serviced each week by the Ossining Food Pantry. Each year, CSI families leave Rosh Hashanah services with an empty grocery bag. From Yom Kippur Eve through Simchat Torah, CSI members return these bags filled with specific food requested by the Pantry. Members, including some of our teenagers, sort and reorganize the food, which we then drive to the Ossining Food Pantry. At the request of the Pantry, we are collecting the following items: tuna, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, and Bisquick.

We start this year's food drive on 9/17/10.
